The body is usually encrusted with sand. The disc is usually red to brown, with radial line and rings of colour. A large anemone that can be very varied. Colouration varies from brown to white, green, pink and blue. The column of the anemone is covered in small warts and it often is encrusted in sand and shells for camouflage.
Found in low tide pools to 10 m.
A predator.
This anemone can reproduce sexually or by fission (splitting in half). They also have the ability to move around.
