A marine relative of the slater or wood louse. They are usually coloured in shades of grey or olive.


Found under rocks or sandy areas of the intertidal zone.


The sea lice sift through sand for food and will come out in huge numbers to scavenge a dead fish.sandy areas of the intertidal zone.


They curl up into a tight ball if disturbed.They can live both in the water and out of it.
