The body varies from cream to pinkish, green, yellow or purple in colour.It has short tentacles with knobs on the ends. Often found in clusters of up to one metre in diameter of same colour individuals.


Found attached in rock pools or in crevices at low intertidal on exposed shores.


Predator.


They usually reproduce asexually by splitting in half, so the clusters of anemones are clones. Jewel anemones are closely related to corals.
