This snail has a flattened, conical shell with large triangular flattened teeth radiating from the edge of the shell. These have many riblets on them. The shell is green to bluish grey, often with a yellowish base. It has a oval aperture which is faintly pearly and irridescent and it has a smooth, white oval opeculum.
Subtidal rocky reefs on semi-exposed to exposed coasts.
Grazer.
These shells are sought after by shell collectors.
