The Australian droplet tunicate appears as multiple clusters of white or cream coloured tubes or "sausages" made up of numerous individuals (one tube is one cylinder or tunic). These tunics can appear with orange flecks due to the presence of bright orange larvae. The long cylindrical heads are generally 5-30 cm long and in some instances can reach 1.5 metres and 5-20 mm in diameter.

Intertidal to subtidal in a variety of environments (rocky, sandy/muddy and seagrass beds). Often found on aquaculture structure, wharves, pontoons and buoys. Located in semi sheltered/sheltered estuaries, harbours and coasts

This is an INVASIVE SPECIES
