This is a rather wiry seaweed has branches which are cylindrical in cross section. They can be quite a bright red with pale tips. It branches in two over it's whole length of about 12-15cm.
Found at low tide on the rocks near sandy beaches.
A producer using the sun's energy for photosynthesis.
