The shell is much smaller than the Ostrich Foot it has less pronounced knobs and these can sometimes be missing altogther. The lip of the aperture(opening) is not thickened. Colour is fairly uniformly brown,


Mudflats, estuaries and coastal embayments in sheltered to semi-protected areas. Low intertidal to about 100m.


A predator.


Females brood their embryos in their mantle (body) cavity.
