A large, thin conical shell. Early whorls are concave in outline, but later ones are strongly concave. Shell is creamy white with reddish brown streaks.
Rocky substrate on semi-exposed to very exposed shores. Uncommon.
Feeds on Hydroids and other encrusting animals.
